There are enough serious hotel tech rankings. This one is deliberately different.

Hotel tech has no shortage of rankings. This one is deliberately easier to explain: money. That's the methodology.

We saw outbid.lol, loved the absurd honesty of the mechanic — pay more, rank higher, nobody pretends otherwise — and wondered what it would look like in hotel tech. So we adapted the mechanic openly for hotel tech.

But a paid leaderboard on its own wasn't enough.

So 50% of every confirmed eligible pre-tax placement fee is allocated to the Hotel Tech Fix Fund. Eligible independent hotels and small hotel groups can put real technology problems on the board for free. Verified hotel professionals support the challenges they want to see fixed, and the eligible challenge with the most verified support is selected.

The Fund then helps cover eligible technology costs related to that challenge.

Vendors pay to rank. Hoteliers decide what gets fixed.

The methodology is deliberately simple. The placement is real. The amounts are public. And the rules are written down for everyone to see.

Money. That's the methodology.
