There are enough serious rankings. This isn't one of them.

HotelTech.lol is an internet experiment. It takes the pay-to-rank mechanic popularised by outbid.lol and similar projects and points it at hotel technology. The mechanic was not invented here — it was borrowed, openly, and adapted to an industry that already has plenty of rankings nobody can fully explain.

The joke is the ranking. The product is not a joke. Placement is real, the amounts are public, and the rules are printed on the site rather than buried in a methodology page that nobody reads.

The second half of the idea is the Hotel Tech Fix Fund: 50% of every confirmed eligible pre-tax placement fee is allocated to a published budget for fixing one real hotel technology problem, and any independent hotel can submit a challenge for free. Vendors compete on money. Hotels get something out of it.

Money. That's the methodology.
